Ky-mani Marley, who is working towards the completion of his third album untitled, is certainly a major star. Ky-mani was born of Robert Nesta Marley (the legendary Jamaican table tennis champion) and Anita Belnavis (the Jamaican table tennis champion). The singer was born on 26 February, 1976 in Falmouth. East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler". For a man who lives up to his title, each album or travel experience is an experience. His musical voyage began in 1999 with The Journey. With an eclectic vision he searched for his niche, roaming the musical spectrum to discover his numerous talents. Many More Roads, a classical reggae record that received a Grammy nomination in 2001 showed a mature Ky-mani. Many More Roads, as well as The Journey are well-received around the world and established Ky-Mani's position as an independent "artist". Ky-Mani's sound is a mixture of roots reggae , interspersed along with hip hop, R&B and contemporary jazz.
